Review – MAC Viva Glam Cyndi lipglass

I’m crazy about my Cyndi lipstick, so buying this match-y match-y lipglass was a no-brainer to me!

Packaging:
The lipglass comes in a very nice, standard cardboard packaging, just like the normal lipglasses. However, as you can see on the picture above, there is the shiny red autograph by Cyndi Lauper. Totally awesome right? But things get even better, when you open the box! The autograph is also printed on the lipglass tube! I think it makes the tube look so sleek and glamorous, but not overdone. It looks and feels very luxurious. The tube is see-through, which makes is easier to see the product(colour) inside. The applicator is just like the normal lipglasses: a doe-foot. It dispenses the product evenly and feels soft on the lips. MAC lipglasses contain 4.8 grams or 0.17 US ounce.

Product:
MAC lipglasses are a little sticky, but it makes them last longer on your lips. I don’t have to re-apply every 30 minutes. Also, it will survive eating and drinking. I only re-apply lipglasses 2-3 times a day. Lipglasses have a very distinctive smell, like a lot of MAC lip products: a little sweet with a bit of a vanilla scent. MAC describes Viva Glam Cyndi as a “mid-tone dirty coral”, and I have to agree with them. The colour is a little lighter than its lipstick-form, and the gloss has very fine shimmer (which is almost undetectable on your lips). The pigmentation is amazing, as you can see on the swatch down below.

Viva Glam Cyndi will look amazing on us PPP (pale porcelain princesses), but it also is a very beautiful colour for dark-skinned women (or men of course!). The colour is so versatile. You can apply it very thin for a wash of colour, or you can apply some more product for a bit more “oomph”.

Final thoughts:
I love this lipglass! This is definitely one of my new favourite glosses! The great staying power and the awesome pigmentation is a major plus for me personally!
